Ramp offers customers RFID readers for various applications from reading vehicles moving through portals, pallets being picked up by forklifts to cartons on high speed conveyor belts and inventory within a storage rooms.
Our selection of RFID readers are rugged, easy to configure, and provide control of peripheral devices and sensors for effective, accurate management of operations. Options include;
RFID Handheld Readers
The handheld UHF RFID-enabled readers are personal digital assistants (PDAs) that have an integrated UHF RFID reader module and antenna controllable from the device’s computational resources and addressable from the device’s operating system.
RFID & Bluetooth Enabled Handheld Reader
The Bluetooth UHF RFID Reader is designed to read and write to EPC Class 1 Gen 2 (ISO18000-6C) UHF transponders and communicate with a variety of host devices via Bluetooth® wireless technology.
RFID Desktop Reader
The Desk-top RFID reader station allows improved, repeatable and reliable system operation and offers onboard processing on the reader which will enable faster running of the software and simpler interfacing.
RFID Conveyor Belt Reader
Conveyor belt readers allow for automatic inventory management and order verification of contents going into the carton.
Passive Fixed RFID Reader Portals
Fixed reader portals are positioned at doorways or choke points between different areas or zones. These portals are typically incorporated with an enclosed RFID reader and 2-4 antennas on adjustable mounts in order to provide a robust read environment. Passive RFID tagged assets passing within a few meters of the fixed reader portal will be read and can be identified as moving from one area to another.
Active Fixed RFID reader stations
RFID Fixed reader stations are generally located at a central point of a monitored location. Assets which are tagged with active RFID tags will be identified up to several hundred meters distance from the reader in all directions. Typical examples of where fixed passive readers are located are; warehouses, carparks and conference areas. Ramp have also developed a passively cooled reader enclosure suited to high temperatures.
RFID Forklift Readers
This read point design incorporates RFID infrastructure mounted on forklifts, with an antenna aligned in such a way as to read the tag when the asset is being lifted by the forklift. Forklift readers are suitable for many applications from pallet tracking in warehouses to cargo tracking in ports.
