Ramp RFID Joins forces with the RAIN UHF ALLIANCE

Alliance to open up new doors for RFID technology in Australia

Rain charter memberRamp RFID Solutions has become the first Australian company to join the RAIN alliance with the aim to promote and advance the use of RFID technology within Australia.

“Ramp RFID is proud to be the first Australian RAIN Alliance member. RAIN UHF RFID is a mature technology transforming and enhancing the operations of a multitude of companies and industries worldwide. RAIN’s ability to promote and share the successes of UHF RFID’s wide adoption is a key enabler to making RFID as integral and ubiquitous to our lives as bar codes are today.” says Ramps engineering director, Alastair McArthur.

RAIN is an industry alliance founded by Impinj, Intel, Google and Smartrac, and hosted by automatic-identification trade association AIM. They are focused on promoting awareness, education, and initiatives to accelerate UHF RFID growth and adoption in business and consumer applications.

Just as the WiFi community and the Bluetooth alliance have transformed these industries, RAIN’s objective is to emulate this success for UHF RFID.
